My Ph.D. Story

Event Announcement

Every Ph.D. is a long, momentous journey and a bag full of stories. If you think you have a story that will speak to others of this unique research experience with its highs and lows, the joys and frustrations, then share it with us. We invite articles from Ph.D holders (and those currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program) in the STEM fields to write about their personal science stories. We want to hear how the Ph.D. has shaped you. Each article should showcase the science and highlight the human aspect of conducting science and how one impacts the other. We encourage you to be open and creative with your narrative.

What to write:

Your story could cover certain aspects such as your Ph.D. topic, any specific experiments, the central question addressed, the key findings, and the significance of your study. At the same time, we would like you to explore ideas such as what led you to your research topic? What did you learn about the process of doing science? What were the ‘aha’ moments and challenging moments? And finally, how did you cope with all the triumphs, tribulations, and everything in between. Word limit ~1000-1500 words.

Who can submit:

Ph.D. holders and those currently pursuing a Ph.D. If you did your Ph.D. over 20 yrs ago, we’d still like to hear from you.

Deadline:
